Jason Adams is Los Angeles-based composer & sound engineer with experience in music & video. He has been working professionally for 14 years in the fields of composing, mixing, and recording.
Jason specializes in projects that treat audio itself as a mode of expression, exploring texture, space, and the possibility of any sound source to support the core ideas of the larger artistic work.
As a musician, Jason's primarily plays the cello, as well as synths and drum machines. He has appeared on numerous recordings for artists such as Nothing, Emma Ruth Rundle, and Torii Wolf. He performs and records as part of Rumori, Danketsu 10, and Choyas, with releases on imprints such as The Tapeworm, Patient Sounds, Cached.Media, Never Anything Records, and Wishful Thinking AR.
Jason is the founder & manager of the monthly concert series Late Breakfast, which is focused on promoting experimental music across genre-lines. Since its establishment in 2016, Late Breakfast has hosted over 100 shows at venues around Los Angeles, supporting hundreds of touring and local artists. Late Breakfast is part of the 2220 Arts + Archives cooperative.
