Rumori will be featured as an artist for the Marfa Open Art Festival 2020 in a video installation created specifically for the festival. The "Live Drawing Session" nstallation was created in collaboration with divinebrick and Chris Soohoo and will be displayed during the entirety of the festival from September 25 to October 18.
“Live Drawing Session” invites you to sit and experience a distance yet visceral butoh performance prayer by divinebrick, Chris Soohoo, and Rumori, transposed into a figure drawing workshop in motion. Through the guidance of Chris SooHoo and haunting soundscapes woven by Rumori (aka Jason Adams), this session offers points of inspiration stemming from movement, video, and sound. It invites watchers to participate in its wholly improvised performance through their own drawing. Create a composite illustration of body in flow. Focus and capture elements of mood and meaning, or just observe and allow the spectrum of dreams to invade your consciousness as you become part of this new collaboration.
